Notary Signing Agent

NSA's are self-employed and do not work for the lender, title, or escrow company directly. They are hired as an impartial member to the signing process, who must also be able to notarize documents as instructed. The NSA is paid by the company who hired him/her.

The higher end of the $175-300 range could be due to extended travel, extensive number of pages within the document, the number of required fax-backs, having to travel more than one location to get all the signer's signatures, if more than two signers are involved, or if more than one loan is involved.
